i found a thick volume entitled A Celebration of Young Poets, Michigan - Fall 2002. i had a poem published in the "High Merit Poems - Grades 7, 8, and 9" section. that means i didn't win first, second, or third place, but they felt obligated to publish my poem because I submitted it. it was kind of cool.
until i saw my typos.
